Project Background

WEBZEN is a game developer with a strong fan base in Korea thanks to titles such MU and R2. In 2023, the company participated in G-Star to showcase three new releases including Terbis, Ragnador and The Eminence in Shadow. As it was Webzen’s return to G-Star in seven years, the event was highly anticipated by the company and fans alike.

G-Star is the largest domestic game show held once a year at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea. It is a popular festival for gamers, with nearly 200,000 visitors coming in for the duration of the event. Known for its convergence of technology, gaming, and esports, G-STAR provides a platform for corporations and gaming enthusiasts to explore the latest advancements and engage in a vibrant celebration of the gaming industry.

Our Solution

WEBZEN's large-scale booth was packed with exciting content including video game demos, missions, and stage events. Popular cosplayers were recruited to help fictional characters come to life, and were donned outfits and weapons meticulously crafted for the most convincing, accurate depictions. The Webzen booth captured the preferences of fans to implement everything that fans desired.

From Webzen Friends branded products to merchandising that embodies the personality of the IPs, the design, comfort, material, and details garnered much attention from users. With strong support from fans and positive feedback from visitors, the Webzen booth became the G-Star destination for many people.
